POLICIES
Dress
Code:
- Ballet/tap
Combo: Leotard (any color), tights. Pink
ballet shoes, black patent leather tap shoes. Shoes must be fastened by
Velcro or Elastic – NO TIE SHOES PLEASE
- Ballet:
Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers.
Hair must be worn away from face and tightly secured.
- Jazz/lyrical/Poms:
Jazz pants with a leotard or fitted tank top, any color.
Black split-sole jazz shoes. Hair must be worn away from the face.
- Hip
Hop: Comfortable, moveable clothes and black jazz shoes or jazz sneakers.
No jeans.
- Tap:
Comfortable, moveable clothes. No
jeans. Level 3 & up:
black leather jazz tap shoes.
- NO
JEWELRY OR STREET SHOES MAY BE WORN TO ANY CLASS. Students not adhering to
the dress code will be asked not to participate in class.
Payment:
Tuition is due
by the last week of each month. A late fee of $12 will be automatically
charged for all payments not received by the 5th of the month.
Tuition is based on a one-month period. No
charge will be added when five classes occur during the month.
This extra class is considered compensation for snow days, holidays,
and months when three classes occur during the month. Tuition may be paid by
cash, check, visa or mastercard. A $10 fee will be charged for all returned
checks.
Registration
Fee: A
non-refundable annual registration fee of $20 per family will be automatically
charged at the time of enrollment.
Recital
& Costume Fees: Two
extra fees will be charged during the school year: A recital fee & a
costume fee. The $60 recital fee
will be charged for all students each spring. This will cover the cost of
facility rental and technical staff for the show.
Recital fee will include four tickets to the spring recital. Costume
fees are non-refundable, and will be due by December 1st.
Class
Placement: Class
placement in levels 3-5 is by teacher permission only. Children must turn the
appropriate age for their class by Dec. 1 in order to enroll.
Behavior:
All students will be
expected to be respectful to teachers and fellow students.
No gum chewing or eating will be allowed in the studio.
Students may bring a water bottle with them to class.
Attendance:
Weekly attendance is
very important to ensure that students do not fall behind in the curriculum.
Please make every effort to get your child to all classes.
If you are not able to attend class, a makeup class may be attended at
another time if appropriate. No
refunds will be given for missed classes.
Please be sure that students arrive on time for all classes, and not
more than 15 minutes early. Please meet your child at the door to the studio promptly
after class is finished. For
their safety, students will not be allowed to leave the studio until they are
picked up.
Observing
Classes: Parents will
be allowed to observe sit in on one class during the school year.
Please arrange an observation day in advance with the teacher. You may
also observe classes through the studio window at any time.
Parent
Communication: All
studio information will be included in our monthly newsletter, sent via e-mail
to all parents. If you wish to
receive a hard copy of communications, you must request this on your
registration form. The newsletter will also be posted on the studio website,
and posted on the studio door.
Class
Cancellations:
The studio schedule will follow the Jefferson County Schools schedule for
Thanksgiving, Winter and Spring Breaks. Regular
classes will not be scheduled during these times. In the event of a school snow day, please call the studio to
see if classes will still be held, as roads are often cleared by
afternoon/evening.
